Introductory Courses

These introductory courses are structured in two parts.  They are ideal for beginners or for those who have done some indoor climbing. We introduce techniques for moving on Sandstone Rock, knots and some rope work, as well as the safety aspects.  Improvers will test their grade according to their own ability and move onto more advanced climbs.

Dates for 2012 courses (10am - 4pm) are:-

April 10th - Over 12's Improvers Course

Half Term:-

Summer Holidays:-

How much is it? These full day courses are just £45 and include all equipment.

Booking:- To maintain our level of highest quality instruction we restrict numbers for all our courses, so please book early to guarantee your place.

Minimum Age is 8 on these courses, but we do take children younger than this in private groups.  Please contact Sarah if you are interested in courses for younger children.

Adventurers (age 12+)

At the Adventurers Club, we introduce a variety of climbs, techniques and ropework. Each session is filled with action packed fun and develops self esteem as well as confidence.

Explorers (ages 8-11)

...assuring you that safety is our priority at all times.

Our Explorers Club is designed for younger children who may not yet have developed the height necessary to reach the holds that the bigger children can.  Focus will be on low-level climbing, scrambling and bouldering over and through the rocks, building confidence and learning climbing techniques, while having jolly good fun ! We will also introduce roped climbing as well as learning knots and safety aspects.

When?  Every Sunday morning (9am-12pm) from 18th March 2012

Scouts, Guides, Clubs and Groups

...assuring you that safety is our priority at all times.

 

A perfect activity for all children, especially those with an adventurous outlook.  Book a half day or a day course for an action packed exploration of these unusual sandstone edges.  We normally warm up with some bouldering and scrambling over the rocks and through the small caves. After a few tips about moving on rock and climbing techniques, we will put some ropes up, learn some knots and enjoy the bigger climbs !
